MESSAGE FROM DR. YERBY

Product home-delivery for clinical patients: Many products normally purchased from clinics are now approved for home delivery. First time purchases require a no-fee registration process. Please look for your product manufacturer and feel free to call in your refill orders.

Clinical patients can now receive their same products from Emerson Ecologics and Xymogen: Those who have been purchasing formulas through medical clinics are now approved for ordering directly through Emerson Ecologics for home-delivery by registering here. These companies include: Pure Encapsulations, Allergy Research, Ecologic Formulas, Cardiovascular Research, and others. You can access the sign-up procedure on this site and without a fee. There will be no sales tax charged, but there will be the standard shipping cost. (Payment methods are held in strictest security through Emerson Ecologics and are never received back at this website.) Xymogen customers feel free to call in your re-orders for home-delivery and confirm with the order that Dr. Yerby is your referring doctor.

Important Safety Alert: Is this ethical? A North Carolina pharmacy is selling out-of-date supplement products to their customers. These are products that the sales staff is changing from the customer's doctor prescribed formulas to one that is available there, but out-of-date. Cash is being taken for these transactions. In addition, a selection of out-of-date supplements marked with an "X" is being given away for oral consumption. These actions may be both unethical and unsafe. Both the Better Business Bureau and the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy will need to decide.

Please check the expiration date on all supplement purchases, and never let a commissioned retail sales person, no matter how "medically-trained" they describe their credentials to be, sell you something other than what your doctors have prescribed. Never consume an out-of-date product or medication.

Additional Alert: This same pharmacy is selling formulas without checking the customer's medical history or lab work, as this is not their job. In March 2007, a person with extremely high blood pressure, and elevated cholesterol, who is on a program to lower both, was sold a supplement product there with cholesterol in it. Remember: sales people sell, and those who sell on commission, sell a lot. Buyer beware and just say, "No." Unlike naturopathic doctors and medical doctors (MDs), retail sales staff personnel have not taken the oath to, "First Do No Harm."

How to avoid unethical sales people: Is it difficult to dodge a high-pressured sales pitch by a seemingly well informed "professional?" Yes. So, in order to avoid the need to go to a retail nutritional center, I am adding a resource for online ordering for medical-quality products. Those who have worked with me already know these manufacturers and many of the formulas. Rest assured, when ordering directly through Emerson, products received will have been freshly produced, and will not have an "X" on them.

Many of you have already been utilizing this service to re-order your carefully planned formulas. I want to remind you that, should you not have the information the Emerson customer service asks, don't hesitate to call anyway; they have it on file and can easily look it up.

I will frequently be listing formulas on this site that I especially like, both newly researched and 'old standards,' so check back often.

Congratulations to everyone for doing their part to maintain their optimal health, and remember...

Keep up the good work. Life is good,
Dr. Chris Yerby
